A New Frame: Welcome to My Photography Blog

Welcome to my photography blog

If you’ve found your way here, welcome to my photography blog. It’s my visual journal, a space to share the stories I find and the moments that catch my eye. For me, photography has always been more than just taking pictures; it’s a way of paying attention to the world. This blog is my attempt to document that attention and explore the narratives hidden in everyday life.

I’m kicking things off with this first post to say hello and give you a glimpse of what this journey will be about.

So, what can you expect to find in this space?

The core of this blog will be dedicated to my biggest passions: street and documentary photography. In fact, I’m drawn to the candid moments, the untold stories hidden in plain sight, and the quiet poetry of the everyday. We’ll explore cityscapes, portraits, and the little details that often go unnoticed.

Beyond the subjects, I’ll also be sharing my fascination with the tools of the trade. For example, I have a soft spot for vintage lenses and characterful cameras, much like the Nikon Df you might have seen on the homepage. From time to time, I’ll post my thoughts and results from shooting with this new-classic gear.

What am I into at the moment?

Finally, artistically, I’m currently exploring the New Topographics movement, finding endless inspiration in the work of masters like William Eggleston and Stephen Shore. You can expect to see that minimalist, observant aesthetic seep into my work.

This is just the first step. In conclusion, this blog is a journey of observation, and I invite you to follow along. I hope you’ll find some inspiration here, or at least see the world through a slightly different frame.

Thanks for stopping by.
